Long wait is almost over for Sea Eagles fans in Auckland

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will play in Auckland on Friday night for the first time since 2019.

The Sea Eagles take on the Warriors in a special night as part of the NRL's Daniel Anderson Round clash. To honour the club’s former coach, the One New Zealand Warriors and naming rights sponsor Go Media have renamed the venue Daniel Anderson Stadium.

Fundraising activity for Anderson, who suffered a catastrophic spinal cord injury late last year following a body surfing accident, will continue across this weekend’s NRL and NRLW matches.

The Warriors will also hold their annual old boys’ day with former players, particularly those who played in the Anderson era from 2001-2004, gathering in big numbers to support the cause. The players are scheduled to do a parade of honour at 7.10pm.

Ahead of the NRL feature, the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles (seventh) and the Warriors (second) will do battle in the NSW Cup in a vital match for both teams at 5.30pm

Gates open at 5.15pm. The night will also feature a spectacular light and laser show at halftime in the NRL match.

The Sea Eagles have a very big following in New Zealand and look forward to seeing plenty of their fans in Auckland for the must- win match against the third-placed Warriors to keep their season alive.

History also shows the Sea Eagles have won 11 out of 15 games against the Warriors in Auckland.

Tickets are selling fast so secure your tickets now Manly fans through Ticketmaster.
