Happy 1500 first grade premiership games Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

Your club, the mighty Sea Eagles, have played 1499 first grade premiership matches and have won 8 premierships since their inception into the then NSWRL competition in 1947.

The current record stands at 868 wins, 595 losses, 36 draws. (This does not include matches as the Northern Eagles).

To acknowledge the milestone in the lead up to the 1500th match - to be played against North Queensland Cowboys this Saturday (May 30), some past and present players celebrated the occasion with a special cake this morning.

One of those players was the great Cliff Lyons, who played 309 matches for his beloved Sea Eagles in an outstanding career.

He was joined by current coach Geoff Toovey, arguably the toughest half-back to ever pull on the Manly-Warringah jersey.

They were joined by former players Mark Bryant and Max Brown, and current Sea Eagles in Jamie Lyon, Steve Matai and Jayden Hodges.

But would Cliff Lyons, Geoff Toovey or Jamie Lyon rank in your best ever Manly Warringah team from the 1500 games played since 1947?
