One thousand reasons to be at 4 Pines Park on Sunday

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles can become just the fourth club to register 1000 wins with a victory over the Cowboys at 4 Pines Park on Sunday.

Since entering the competition in 1947, along with eight premierships, Manly has chalked up 999 wins.

It’s certainly a special milestone for the Club as we celebrate our 80th anniversary season.

Manly will join only three other clubs who have achieved this milestone, the Roosters, the Rabbitohs and the Bulldogs.

While Manly’s race to 1000 has taken eight decades, that’s a decade or two less than it took the others.

The Roosters were the first club to reach four figures in 2007, their 100th season. The Rabbitohs hit the 1000-mark in 2012, in their 103rd season. And the Bulldogs joined the ‘1000-wins’ club when they defeated Manly last year, in their 91st season.

Success as we know has been ingrained at Brookie over the years with premierships earned in five consecutive decades.

And so here we are in our 80th season with 999 wins under the belt.

See you at 4 Pines Park on Sunday for a possible milestone moment for Manly.
