Gaz equals Killer with Wombat well ahead

Reuben Garrick has drawn level with Jamie Lyon in second place on Manly’s all-time points scoring list.

Garrick’s four conversions in Manly’s 28-14 win against the Rabbitohs at Foz Pines Park in Round 14 took his career tally to 1410 points from 170 games, equalling Lyon who notched up the same number of points from 224 games for Manly.

Garrick’s points breakdown includes 94 tries and 517 goals.  He’s scored five tries in 13 appearances in 2026 and, interestingly, in every game where he’s scored a try, Manly have won the match.

It’s been a great journey so far on the Northern Beaches for ‘Gaz, and who knows, the best could be yet to come.

Reuben set a new club record for most points in a season in 2021 with 334 points from 27 games. In that same year he became the first player in rugby league to score 20 tries and kick 100 goals in a premiership season.

Lyon, a two-time premiership winner at Manly, amassed 1410 points across nine seasons scoring 86 tries and booting 533 goals.

Well out in front of course is the great Graham Eadie whose record haul may never be matched. The brilliantly gifted fullback scored 1917 points in his 13 seasons at Manly from 71 tries, 847 goals, and three field goals.

And what makes Wombat’s numbers even more impressive is that in 12 of his 13 seasons, tries were three points, not four as they are today.

With Manly enjoying the bye next weekend, Garrick will have to wait until Round 16 for the chance to move into outright second place on the points list, against the Bulldogs at Accor Stadium on Saturday 20th June.
