Playing for the Malcolm Reilly Challenge Trophy

The Malcolm Reilly Challenge Trophy is again up for grabs at 4 Pines Park on Sunday when the Sea Eagles tackle the Newcastle Knights.

Named after Great Britain great Malcom Reilly, Manly and Newcastle play for the annual trophy when they meet for the first time each season in honour of the man who made a big impact at both clubs.

A member of Manly's premiership-winning teams in 1972 and '73, Reilly remains one of the Club's greatest ever players, having played 89 games from 1971-75.

He later coached Newcastle to their first premiership victory against Manly in 1997.

Manly have won the trophy 11 times out of 19 times since it was first contested in 2007.

Hard to take: Manly lost in golden-point in Newcastle last year after leading 16-0

The Knights currently hold the trophy after their 26-22 win in golden point in round 14 last year in Newcastle.

Be at 4 Pines Park on Sunday and help lift the Sea Eagles to victory.
