The first to winger Samisoni Talakai, the second to edge forward Matthew Crossingham, and the third to five-eighth Onitoni Large.  Large converted all three tries to have his side leading 18-4.

Lisa Fiaola Cup

The Sea Eagles Under 17s suffered a narrow loss to the Eels despite a spirited fight-back in Round 3 of the Lisa Fiaola Cup.

The visitors trailed 12-nil early on before running in three tries, including a first half double to edge forward Maude Moon Havea, to trail the Eels 16-14 at half time.

The Eels scored back-to-back tries early in the second half to stretch their lead to 14 points but Manly stayed in the fight.

Hooker Hiva Mahe crossed for her team’s fourth try with about five minutes remaining.

Tarsha Gale Cup

It was another heavy loss for the Sea Eagles Under 19s in Round 3 of the Tarsha Gale Cup.

Our team trailed 22-nil at half time, conceding another two tries in quick succession immediately after the break.

Down 32-nil, the team’s first and only points of the match came 12 minutes into the second half through prop, Indiana Russell-Lia.

The Eels added a further three tries in the final 10 minutes to secure a third straight win in the opening three rounds of the season.
