Blacktown Workers to play Raiders in NSW Cup finals

Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles will tackle the Canberra Raiders in an elimination semi-final at North Sydney Oval on Saturday, September 2.

The match kicks-off at 3pm. Blacktown Workers finished the regular season in fifth place on 32 points with the Raiders claiming fourth position on 33 points.

It will be the Sea Eagles first finals appearance in the NSW Cup since 2015.

Manly formed a partnership with the Blacktown Workers Junior Rugby League Football Club in 2016 to enter a team under the name of Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles for their first season in the NSW Cup in 2017.

Blacktown Workers won 13 of their 24 matches for nine losses under Coach Greg Boulous.

They head into the game on the back of a 32-22 win over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Sunday that saw them advance through to the finals.

Exciting Blacktown Workers winger Clayton Faulalo finished the regular season as the NSW Cup leading tryscorer with 29 tries.

Canberra secured their finals spot after beating Minor Premiers North Sydney Bears 36-14 at North Sydney Oval on Sunday.

Blacktown Workers beat Canberra Raiders 19-12 at GIO Stadium in round 12 and 24-18 in round 20 at Blacktown.

1pm: South Sydney (2nd) vs Warriors (3rd)

3pm: Canberra Raiders (4th) vs Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles (fifth)
