Five Sea Eagles players named in 'Team of the Week'

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have dominated the ‘Team of the Week’ selections following Round 15 of the Telstra Premiership.

Each week, NRL.com invites supporters to vote for the best performed players in each position from the weekend’s round with 54, 807 votes tallied for Round 15.

The Sea Eagles had five players selected in the 13-man team for Round 15 following the team’s 56-24 win over the Gold Coast Titans on Sunday.

The Manly players selected in the 13-man team in positions were:

Full-back: Tom Trbojevic

Wing: Reuben Garrick

Five-eighth: Kieran Foran

Second-row: Haumole Olakau’atu

Prop: Taniela Paseka

Trbojevic was a clear-cut winner for full-back, polling 61% of the 6,125 votes with Melbourne’s Nicho Hynes second on 11%. Trbojevic was at his devastating best, scoring three tries to record his third hat-trick for Manly and his second against the Titans.

Garrick polled 41% of the 6,164 votes to grab a wing spot alongside Penrith’s Brian To’o (26%).

Garrick scored four tries against the Titans to become the 19th player for Manly to cross for four tries in a match.

Foran claimed the number six jersey with 22% of the 5,970 votes ahead of Penrith’s Jarome Lui on 20%.

The experienced Foran had two try assists and provided great shape for Manly’s attack to again show why he is such a valuable team player.

Olakau’atu claimed 19% of the 6,132 votes to join Parramatta’s Isaiah Papali’i (28%) in the second-row.

Olakau’atu had a strong game, making 108 metres, 42 post contact metres, nine hit ups and four tackle breaks from his 10 runs. He also scored a try to follow on from his double against the Cowboys a week earlier.

Paseka polled 25% of the 6,210 votes to earn a front row spot alongside Melbourne’s Nelson Asofa-Solomona (16%).

From his 13 runs, Paseka made a whopping 186 metres, 114 kick return metres, 50 post contact metres, five tackle breaks, and eight hit ups. His one-line break saw him skittle three defenders in a 60 metre run before putting a kick through for Dylan Walker to regather to almost score.
