Our first Lottoland Legend of the Week has been awarded to Jorge Taufua after a stunning Round 1 performance against the Newcastle Knights.

Jorge suffered a season ending knee injury in Round 13 of the 2017 season and has been on the road to recovery leading up to Round 1.

Taufua certainly made an impact in his NRL return after a total of 239 running metres, 26 runs, 6 tackle breaks and 1 try.

“It was very exciting to get through it unscathed, an unfortunate result but I’d like to thank all the supporters who voted,” Taufua said.

After 10 months of rehab, Jorge will make his return to Lottoland this Sunday to face archrivals the Parramatta Eels and he couldn’t be more excited.

“It’ll be great to have the whole community get around us, especially in either corner (wing) that I stand on,” Taufua said.

“I’ve missed been in front of our home supporters and Members and I can’t wait to play down at Lottoland this Sunday.”

Congratulations to Nicole Young who voted for Jorge, and will receive a Manly Warringah Sea Eagles merchandise pack and 4 x Premium tickets to a 2018 Lottoland game.
