Vale: Cam Finn

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our most courageous and devoted young supporters, 12-year-old Cam Finn.

Almost a year ago, Cam was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and devastating brain tumour that primarily affects children. Despite the heartbreaking diagnosis, and with no cure or effective treatment available, Cam and his family faced every day with remarkable courage, making the most of every precious moment together.

One of those special memories came in Round 10 when Cam fulfilled a dream by watching his beloved Sea Eagles defeat the Broncos at 4 Pines Park. From coach Kieran Foran's office in the Penn Centre of Excellence, Cam enjoyed the match before spending time with players on the field and in the players' tunnel after full-time.

It was a day that brought plenty of smiles to a young boy whose love for the Sea Eagles never wavered.

The following week at Magic Round, the Sea Eagles proudly played for Cam as part of the NRL's Kick For A Cause initiative, helping raise funds for paediatric cancer centres across Australia and New Zealand.

Cam's mother, Laura, said the support shown by the Club throughout her son's journey brought enormous comfort to the entire family.

"The club has surrounded our whole family with love and support. We cannot put into words how much this means."

Cam's strength, warmth and infectious spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. While his time with us was far too short, his bravery and the joy he found in supporting his Sea Eagles will never be forgotten.

The Sea Eagles extend their heartfelt condolences to Cam's parents, Laura and Adam, his brothers Carter and Hadden, and to the rest of his family, friends, classmates, and everyone whose lives he touched.

The team will wear black armbands in Sunday's match against the Titans in honour of Cam - a beautiful young boy and passionate Sea Eagles supporter who was taken far too soon.

Rest peacefully, Cam.
