Sea Eagles legend Steve Menzies has joined forces with Australian acting icon Michael Caton for a new VoltX Energy campaign highlighting the benefits of home battery storage.
VoltX Energy: Steve Menzies stars in the latest VoltX campaign
The three-part campaign sees Menzies and Caton - best known for starring roles in ‘The Castle’ and ‘Packed to the Rafters’ - take on the roles of neighbouring households, with Menzies attempting to tackle rising electricity bills through a series of increasingly creative, and humorous, solutions.
From putting Sea Eagles Pathways players to work on exercise bikes to generate power, to being observed by Caton through binoculars in a David Attenborough-style parody, the campaign takes a light-hearted look at the role home batteries can play in making greater use of solar energy.
Menzies, who played 349 NRL games and scored 180 tries for Manly between 1993 and 2008, has taken on the role of VoltX Energy Ambassador as part of the campaign.

The former Sea Eagles star said the ability to monitor energy generation and storage through the VoltX Energy app had been one of the biggest surprises since installing a home battery.
“I get daily updates from Michael on how much electricity he’s generated and we have a lot of banter,” Menzies said.
“It’s actually quite addictive.”
