Match Preview: NRL Round 14 vs Rabbitohs

The Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs do battle on Thursday night at the newly named Foz Pines Park in the opening game of Round 14.

It will be Manly’s first game with Kieran Foran in charge as the Club’s new Head Coach after he was appointed to the position mid-week on a three-year deal.

‘Foz’ has done an amazing job on an interim basis over the past few months, as has his team, winning seven of their past nine games.

Manly’s three-game winning streak came to an end last Friday night at Cronulla fighting back from 22-4 down at half time to lose by one converted try.

It was a spirited second half fightback by the Sea Eagles, but they’ll be wanting a more dominant start to this match now back at home.

The Bunnies will be hoping to bounce back after back-to-back losses, heavily beaten by the Dolphins in Magic Round before a 30-18 loss to the Cowboys in Townsville.

They should be fresh coming off the bye last round and have made quite a few changes to their team.

The last meeting between these two sides saw Manly defeat Souths 30-18 on a Sunday arvo at 4 Pines Park, with Reuben Garrick and Tom Trbojevic each bagging a double.

In team news Manly welcomes back both NSW Origin reps in Haumole Olakau’atu and Tolu Koula, while Ethan Bullemor is rested following a head knock in training this week.
