Biggest winning margin

You need to go back to the days of the old Winfield Cup in 1984 to re-live Manly’s biggest winning margin of 36 points over the Sharks.

The Sea Eagles piled on the tries in a 50-14 win with winger Col Dreier and half-back Des Hasler crossing for hat-tricks on a Sunday afternoon at Brookvale. Phil Sigsworth also scored a double.

Cronulla’s biggest winning margin is 62 following a 68-6 victory on their home ground in 2005.

Manly’s 50 points and Cronulla’s 68 are the most points scored in a match for both clubs, respectively.

Most tries scored in a match

Cronulla leads this stat with 12 tries from their 68-6 win over Manly at Toyota Park in 2005.

Current Manly NSW Cup Coach Brett Kimmorley recorded a hat-trick for the Sharks in the win.

The Sea Eagles have twice scored nine tries against Cronulla, coming in the 50-14 win in 1984 where Dreier and Hasler starred.

The second game was a 48-18 win away in 2010 with second-rower Anthony Watmough crossing for three tries.

Most goals scored in a match

The record stands at 10 through the boot of ex-Sharks winger Luke Covell from the 68-6 win in 2005.

Manly’s best effort is eight goals. Winger Bob Batty did it in 1967 and Michael O'Çonnor in 1988, both being at ‘Brookie’.

Most field goals in a match

Bob Fulton kicked two in Manly’s 14-4 win over the Sharks in the 1973 NSWRL Major Semi at the SCG.

Most individual points scored in a match

The great Michael O’Connor was the hero of Brookvale in 1988 in Manly’s 44-30 win.

‘Snoz’ crossed for two tries and kicked eight from eight on a magical Saturday afternoon for the Sea Eagles. Half-back Des Hasler also scored a double.

Most individual tries scored in a match

This record has stood the test of time since 1967.

Manly winger Les Hanigan crossed for an astonishing five tries at Brookvale Oval in a 39-5 win.

Hanigan signed with Manly in 1967 and was the premiership's leading try-scorer that year with 16 tries.

His five tries remain a Manly club record.

Longest winning streak

The Sea Eagles hold this record, with a streak of eight matches from May 14, 1967, to July 26, 1970.
