Two very talented young Manly Warringah Sea Eagles players have been selected to represent NSW City against NSW Country at 4 Pines Park this Saturday.
Jett Watkin has been named in the Under 16s team with Ashton Large in the Under 18s side with both teams made up of players from the Harold Matthews and SG Ball Cup competitions.
Their selection is a just reward for both players in a year that saw the Sea Eagles make the finals in both competitions together for the first time in five years.
Watkin started the season strongly in the centres for Manly’s Harold Matthews team before later showing he is versatility to finish the competition in the back row. He played in every game for Manly.
A crafty hooker, Large captained Manly’s SG Ball team in 2026 and played a major role in the team’s charge to the finals. He too played every game.
Large has also spent time training with Manly’s NRL squad to help further develop his game.
