One of rugby league’s greatest try scoring combinations in Cliff Lyons and Steve Menzies will take to the field together again this Saturday night.

The champion Manly players will be special guests of the Club and will be presented to the crowd before kick-off against the Brisbane Broncos at 4 Pines Park.

The pair will later be part of a half-time goal kicking activation with new top-of-back sponsor VoltX Energy. They've both been encouraged to pull on the boots to assist with balance and accuracy!

Lyons and Menzies etched their names into rugby league folklore, with their lethal combination tormenting opponents during their wonderful careers at Manly.

A magical ball player, Lyons had the uncanny ability to put Menzies through a hole to score. Menzies scored 151 tries for Manly with many of them coming off the gifted Lyons.

Lyons played a then record 309 games for the Sea Eagles from 1986-1999, winning a premiership in 1987 where he was awarded the Clive Churchill Medal for player of the grand final.

Lyons and Menzies then combined to win a premiership together at Manly in 1996.

Menzies played an incredible 280 first grade games for Manly from 1993-1999 and 2003-2008. He finished his illustrious career with a famous try in the Sea Eagles’ historic 40-0 grand final victory over the Melbourne Storm in 2008.

In 2022, the Sea Eagles officially honoured the pair by renaming the southern stand at 4 Pines Park the Lyons-Menzies Stand following the completion of The Bob Fulton Stand.

'Cliffy' and 'Beaver' will be on hand to help with the crossbar kicking challenge at half time, presented by VoltX Energy.

One pre-selected kicker will have three chances to hit the cross bar to win the Ultimate Sea Eagles prize.  For your chance to be selected, enter here.
