Manly Leagues face a real acid test against undefeated leaders St Marys in a Friday night showdown this week in round five of the Ron Massey Cup.
The Sea Eagles go into the game on the back of a 46-12 loss to the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks at home last Sunday.
Trailing 20-6 at half-time after a spirited effort, the Sea Eagles collapsed in the second half in a nine tries to two loss.
Their cause was also not helped by the loss of three players through injury.
Unfortunately, it was Manly’s fourth consecutive defeat in what has been a tough opening month for last year’s Sydney Shield premiers following their promotion to the second-tier Ron Massey Cup this season.
Manly Leagues sit on the bottom of the ladder after conceding more than 30 points in each of their matches.
The match against Saints kicks-off at St Marys Leagues Stadium on Friday, April 24, at 7.45pm.
