A desperate and determined Manly Leagues will be looking to break through for their first win in the Ron Massey Cup in a home game this Saturday.
The Sea Eagles have experienced a hard start to the Ron Massey Cup after being promoted from the third tier Sydney Shield competition following their premiership success last year.
Unfortunately, Manly Leagues have conceded 30 points in each of their last three games that has left them on the bottom of the ladder.
The effort to compete has certainly been there for Manly Leagues but it’s just been the ability to handle the extra pressure and skills of the second tier Ron Massey Cup against more season opponents that has seen the team struggle to date.
Last weekend, the Sea Eagles trailed 8-0 at half-time to the Bulldogs before collapsing badly in a 36-6 loss to give the home side their first win.
Manly Leagues now play Ryde-Eastwood Hawks in Round 4 at Lionel Watts Park, Belrose, on Sunday, April 19, at 2pm.
