Sea Eagles Weekend Pathways Wrap

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles recorded one win and a loss over the weekend in the lower grades.

Both were catch up games at Aubrey Keech Reserve, Hinchinbrook, after inclement weather postponed the original matches.

The Sea Eagles made it three straight wins with a 34-20 win over the Penrith Panthers on Saturday.

Manly ran in six tries to four after leading 16-10 at half-time with Broden Konz and Jesse Jackson scoring two tries each in the win.

Carsen Patu and Josh Clark also crossed for tries.  Winger Kallum Weatherall-Stacey kicked five goals.

The fourth placed Sea Eagles now take on the third placed Wests Tigers at 4 Pines Park on Friday, May 24, at 6pm in the curtain raiser to the NRL game.

Sydney Shield

A late comeback was not enough for the Manly Leagues team in going down 20-18 to Mounties on Saturday.

Trailing 10-6 at half-time, the Sea Eagles stormed home in the final 10 minutes to get pipped at the post after Mounties got out to a 20-6 lead.

Five-eighth Callum Dowell, Jett Jackson and winger Lachlan Burt crossed for tries for Manly Leagues. Burt also kicked three goals.

The loss leaves Manly Leagues in seventh position ahead of this Sunday's match against competition leaders the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks at TG Millner Field at 1pm.
