Tommy Talau leaves the field with an ankle injury

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles winger Tommy Talau will undergo scans on Monday for an ankle injury.

Talau was assisted from the field with 10 minutes remaining after helping to prevent a possible try to Dominic Young.

It was a cruel blow to Talau who crossed for a try a minute after half-time in his club debut.

“Tommy’s got an MRI booked for tomorrow afternoon, but he obviously couldn’t return to the field,'' Coach Anthony Seibold said.

"We don’t know whether it was dislocated or if there was a break there, but we’ll find out soon."

Second-rower Haumole Olakau’atu is fine after suffering leg cramps late in the game.
