Pathways Preview: Round 6

The four Sea Eagles Pathway matches take place in Victoria and Chester Hill as the Sea Eagles take on the Melbourne Storm in the boys competitions and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the girls competitions.

We take a look at each of the matches in this week’s Pathways Preview

Harold Matthews Cup

The Harold Matthews Cup side head to Victoria to take on the Melbourne Storm in this week’s match, looking to bounce back from their 16-6 loss last week to the Newcastle Knights in Kurri Kurri.

The Storm are coming off a narrow 22-18 loss to the Dragons last round.

Ladder Position: Sea Eagles 9th, Storm 12th

Match Details: Saturday March 9, 12.45pm at Comely Banks Recreation Reserve, Officer, Victoria.

SG Ball Cup

Manly are looking to finally record their first win of the year after a tough start to the season. The side walked away empty handed from their trip to Kurri Kurri following a tough 54-14 loss to the Knights. Their opponents, the Storm, suffered a 24-10 loss to the Dragons last week.

Ladder Position: Storm 11th, Sea Eagles 15th

Match Details: Saturday March 9, 2.10pm at Comely Banks Recreation Reserve, Officer, Victoria.

Lisa Fiaola Cup

The Lisa Fiaola Cup side are now at two wins and two losses for the season heading into Round 6 following a disappointing 44-6 loss to the Knights last week. Their opponents for this week, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, are coming into the match red hot following a dominant 60-0 win over the North Sydney Bears last week. It will be a tough challenge for Manly, with the Bulldogs yet to lose a game this season.

Ladder Position: Bulldogs 1st, Sea Eagles 7th

Match Details: Saturday March 9, 1pm at Terry Lamb Complex.

Tarsha Gale Cup

The Manly Tarsha Gale Cup side are one of three teams that remain undefeated this season following their second draw in a row last weekend against the Knights. The 24-all result comes a week after an 18-all result in Round Four against the Sharks.

The Bulldogs are fresh off a comfortable 38-0 defeat over the North Sydney Bears last weekend and are one of the three undefeated sides alongside the Sea Eagles.

Ladder Position: Bulldogs 1st, Sea Eagles 4th

Match Details: Saturday March 9, 2.30pm at Terry Lamb Complex.
