Lola Case - a true and passionate Sea Eagle to the end

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles offer their condolences to the family of the late Lola Case, one of the Club's most loved and respected long serving Members.

Lola, the Sea Eagles Member of the Year in 2018, had been battling cancer. She passed away on Sunday at the age of 85.

A Northern Beaches resident originally from the country town of Jugiong, Lola's love affair for the Sea Eagles began when she went on family holidays to Manly as a young girl.

When the Sea Eagles entered the NSWRL competition in 1947, Lola and her father inevitably became supporters of the club.

In 1968, Lola moved to the Northern Beaches and from that moment on, hardly missed a Manly home game in her seat in the Jane Try stand at Brookvale, along with son David. Her four children and late husband would often attend home games too.

I love the Sea Eagles and coming to every game. It's my life

Lola would also often be seen at Manly away games, whether it be travelling to New Zealand, Townsville, Brisbane and Melbourne to cheer on the team.

Lola also was a friendly face to all at the Manly club, having accommodated seven players in her home since 1987.

She would often 'get a cuddle' too from her beloved Daly Cherry-Evans after each Manly game.

Lola's passing follows on from the passing of Margaret Anthony in January this year, who was Manly's inaugural 'Member of the Year' in 2012.
