Three Sea Eagles players to represent City

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will have three players involved in this weekend’s Country and City representative matches at Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah.

Reilly Caswell (City U16s), Latu Fainu (City U18s) and Tafao Asaua (City U19 women) have all been selected following their fine seasons in the NSWRL Junior Representative competitions.

A talented young full-back, Caswell was a standout for Manly's Harold Matthews side this year, where he appeared in all 8 games, scoring three tries. Blessed with plenty of speed, he will be one to watch in the coming years.

The U16s match will be played at 11am on Saturday.

A member of the Sea Eagles top 30 squad, five-eighth Fainu played four games for Manly in the SG Ball ‘competition after missing the early part of the season through injury.

A player with tremendous skills, vision and pace, 17-year-old Fainu has since played two games for Manly in the Jersey Flegg (U21s) team and also made his senior NSW Cup debut for Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles a fortnight ago.

The U18s match will be played at 12.35pm on Saturday.

Asaua was one of the standout players for Manly in their inaugural season in the Tarsha Gale Cup U19 women’s competition.

Nick-named ‘Big T’ for her sheer strength and size, Asaua made some damaging runs and pulled off some bone crunching tackles that shook the opposition.

She also crossed for four tries in seven of Manly's nine games.

The U19s women’s match will be played at 12.50pm on Sunday.

The Sea Eagles congratulate all three players on their selection and wish them well for the weekend.
