Cooper Johns called into Sea Eagles team

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have called Cooper Johns into the team for Saturday's home match against the Newcastle Knights.

Johns was named on an extended bench on Tuesday for the match at Glen Willow Stadium but will now come into the side at five-eighth to replace the injured Josh Schuster (quad). Schuster suffered the injury in the first half against Souths last week.

He will partner Daly Cherry-Evans in the halves.

Johns was in strong form for the Sea Eagles in their pre-season Challenge Cup victories which saw him earn selection for Manly’s opening round win against the Bulldogs at 4 Pines Park.

The match against the Bulldogs was Johns’ Club debut for the Sea Eagles after returning to Manly where he played junior representative football before making his NRL debut for the Melbourne Storm.
