Invaluable experience for SG Ball youngsters

It may have been a tough season for the SG Ball team in 2023, but the signs are positive for the future according to Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Coach Brett Fulton.

The Sea Eagles have been blooding plenty of talented youngsters with many of them playing a year younger than their age group. Manly has won one of their seven games.

“Although it’s been a tough year, we have been in most games, and leading until very late in matches,’’  Fulton said.

“With nine players playing a year young, the experience will be invaluable moving forward.

“It’s also been pleasing for us to see Kobe Douglas transition to Jersey Flegg and perform so strongly.

“Newcastle will be another test this week. I’m expecting us to again challenge strongly for the win.”

The Knights sit in third position with the Sea Eagles in 14th spot heading into the match at Lakeside Sporting Complex, Raymond Terrace, on Saturday, April 1. Kick-off 12.20pm.
