Rd 14 Preview: Blacktown Workers vs Magpies

Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles will have the chance for redemption against the Western Suburbs Magpies in the NSW Cup at Campbelltown Sports Stadium this Sunday.

The two teams met at 4 Pines Park last month with the Magpies winning 30-26 with both sides scoring five tries each.

Since then, Blacktown Workers have since jumped the Magpies on the ladder to move into 11th place with two wins to their name.

Western Suburbs have won one game and sit just one competition point behind Blacktown Workers on the bottom of the ladder.

Blacktown Workers head into the match on the back of a confidence boosting 22-16 upset win over the North Sydney Bears last week.

"We played well last week, but the challenge for us is now to back it up with another strong performance,’’ said Blacktown Workers Coach Nathan Hogan.

"We can still improve in lots of areas of the game, so we are looking to build on last week’s  performance and be better again this week.”

The match kicks off at 11.30am and is the second game in a triple header at Campbelltown. The match will be shown live on Fox League/Kayo.
