Jersey Flegg Preview: Sea Eagles vs Eels

A fresh Manly Warringah Sea Eagles will be looking to bounce back in the NSWRL Jersey Flegg Cup when they travel to Wentworthville on Saturday.

With no NSWRL Jersey Flegg fixtures played last weekend due to the NRL Magic Round, the Sea Eagles will be keen to return to the winners circle following a last start 30-24 loss to the Wests Tigers at 4 Pines Park.

Prior to the loss to the Tigers, the Sea Eagles had again shown under Coach Aam McEwan what they are capable of with strong wins against Cronulla Sharks (24-22) and South Sydney (20-12).

“The boys enjoyed the week off and have returned to training in a really fresh mindset,’’ McEwen said.

“They are excited about our upcoming games. We have been working really hard on competing for the full game and when we can do that, we know we can match it with any side in the competition.”

The Sea Eagles sit in 10th place with three wins from nine games with the Eels in 11th position on the same amount of wins.
