Sea Eagles to release ‘Arko’ feature series

One of Rugby League’s greatest administrators, Ken Arthurson (Sea Eagle #59), has been honoured by the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles in a special feature video series on his distinguished career.

Split over four episodes, ‘Arko – The Godfather of Manly’, sees Arthurson sit down with close friend Peter Peters, a 1973 Premiership winning Manly player, media commentator, and former long-time Sea Eagles official.

In a fascinating insight, Arthurson talks to ‘Zorba’ about his life at Manly, the joys and heartaches, the Premierships, the players, and his determination to build the Sea Eagles into one of the most successful clubs in the game today.

Arthurson also provides a fascinating account of the Super League War and how he led the game through its most challenging period. They also chat about and honour their great mate, Bob Fulton.

Episode One - ‘The Early Days’ – sees ‘Arko’ talk about his junior days with the Freshwater Surf Club, Manly’s first International in Roy Bull, his first grade playing career, to becoming Manly’s first grade coach in 1957 at the age of 27.

And in appreciation for their loyal support in the Club’s 75th season, Episode One will be released exclusively to Sea Eagles Members and Corporate Partners from 4pm this afternoon via a direct email link to view.

The 4-part series has been produced by Sea Eagles Media Partner ASKI Live Media with each episode released exclusively to Members and Corporate Partners over the coming weeks. Each episode will then become available for public viewing a week after the exclusive release.

We hope you enjoy watching ‘Arko’ as we celebrate his wonderful legacy at Manly.
