On This Day for the Sea Eagles - March 18

As part of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles' 75th year anniversary, we take a look back at some of our great wins in our proud history.

On This Day - March 18

Rd 1, 1990

Manly captain Michael O' Çonnor led the way with two tries and a goal in the 14-12 win over the Balmain Tigers at Lecihhardt Oval.

Fellow centre Des Hasler also scored in the Sunday afternoon win.

Rd 2, 1995

The Sea Eagles recorded a comprehensive 28-8 win over the Gold Coast Seagulls in Tweed Heads.

Tryscorers for Manly were John Hopoate (2), Jack Elsegood, Matthew Ridge, and Geoff Toovey.  Ridge landed four from six goals.

Rd 3, 2017

Centre Dylan Walker had a perfect kicking night with the boot in landing seven goals from seven attempts in Manly’s 39-8 win over the Nth Qld Cowboys in Townsville.

Jackson Hastings, Brenton Lawrence, Jorge Taufua and Tom Trbojevic scored tries for the Sea Eagles.

Rd 2, 2018

An outstanding first half saw the Sea Eagles leave the field to a standing ovation at half-time in Manly’s 54-0 win over the Parramatta Eels at Lottoland. 

The Sea Eagles led 30-0 at half-time. Tryscorers for Manly were Curtis Sironen (2), Daly Cherry-Evans, Lachlan Croker, Addin Fonua-Blake, Api Koroisau, Lloyd Perrett, Jorge Taufua, and Jake Trbojevic.

Cherry-Evans kicked nine from 10 goals for a personal haul of 22 points in a perfect Sunday afternoon of football for Manly under Coach Trent Barrett.
