Rd 2, 1990
Sea Eagles captain Michael O’Connor kicked six goals in Manly’s 28-12 victory over the Newcastle Knights at Brookvale.
New Zealand Test winger Tony Iro crossed for two tries with full-back Frank Stokes and half-back Geoff Toovey also scoring tries.
For former half Des Hasler, the match was his second game in the centres. Hasler would go on to play eight games in the position for Manly that season.
Rd 3, 2006
The ‘battle of the beaches’ saw the Manly Sea Eagles come home strongly to record a nail-biting 20-18 win over Cronulla at home on a Saturday night.
Centre Steve Bell, five-eighth Travis Burns and full-back Brett Stewart grabbed tries after the Sharks led 10-6 at half-time.
Half-back Matt Orford had the right boots on, kicking four from four to help Manly to their first win of the season.
Rd 4, 2017
An outstanding first half performance saw the Manly Sea Eagles crush the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at Lottoland.
The Sea Eagles led 26-0 at half-time and managed to finish off the match by keeping the Bulldogs scoreless in the 36-0 win.
Centre Brian Kelly grabbed a double with Api Koroisau, Curtis Sironen, Tom Trbojevic, Akuila Uate and Dylan Walker also scoring tries. Walker kicked four goals.
