Sea Eagles ‘Get Picked Up’ with new Senior Partner

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have today announced Australian owned transport company, Get Picked Up, as a new Senior Partner of the Club.

Get Picked Up branding will feature on the front of Sea Eagles playing shorts for at least the next two seasons, including NRL, all junior teams and the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles NSW Cup team.

Born out of the Northern Beaches of Sydney back in 2011 and with their head office now in Crows Nest, Get Picked Up is already operating in 50 cities and towns across Australia, as well as New Zealand, Los Angeles, New York and London.

As part of the business growth over the past eight years, Get Picked Up has acquired a number of long-standing Sydney transport companies, including Collaroy Airport Transfers, Northern Beaches Shuttle and North Shore Shuttle Express, which all still operate under their traditional business names, ‘powered by GPU.’

Get Picked Up Founder and CEO, Daniel Rombouts, says the new partnership with the Sea Eagles comes off the back of successfully building a profitable business, focusing primarily on airport transfers, shuttle buses and pre-booked longer trips, but also aligns well with plans to “ramp up the on-demand side of the business in 2020,” taking on the more well-known international rideshare operators.

“Everyone knows the Sea Eagles, so we are very excited to be partnering with such a strong national brand to help boost our profile at an ideal time for our business.”

But it’s not just all about the branding, Sea Eagles General Manager – Corporate, Luke Tucker, says the Club has already been working with Rombouts and his team over the past few months to integrate Get Picked Up as a “transport solution” for Sea Eagles Members and fans.

“It’s no secret that parking is pretty scarce when it comes to our home games at Lottoland.

“As a traditional suburban ground, you get that and it’s up to us as a Club to form smart partnerships like this one with Get Picked Up, that not only work commercially for the Club, but also help to solve problems like parking on game days.”

Sea Eagles Members and fans will be able to easily book any required transport online through the dedicated and co-branded getpickedup.com.au website, whilst the Sea Eagles will also be directly integrating Get Picked Up transport booking options into existing online booking systems for match day tickets, hospitality and events.
