Young talent on show at URM Community Round

Sunday is shaping up to be a massive day of fun filled activity at Lottoland as part of URM Community Round.

The Sea Eagles will clash with the St George-Illawarra Dragons in the Jersey Flegg and NRL competitions in what will be a great day of rugby league.

The URM Community Round is a very special round for the Sea Eagles as the Club recognises its Major Partner, URM.

URM has been supporting the Northern Beaches community for over 40 years, and this season are celebrating 23 years of support of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles.

As part of URM Community Round, there will be a youth take over as the club showcases some of the exciting young talent on the Northern Beaches.

Some of the great activities planned include:

- Young musicians and buskers will be placed around the ground;

- Mini skate park on the northern hill thanks to Skater HQ;

- Live Street Art – a graffiti wall on the hill for talented young street graffiti artists to create a mural;

- DJ Max from Headspace Brookvale will be entertaining fans;

- URM Youth Ambassadors will be sharing roles from on-field ground announcer to media assistants.

URM are again providing junior kids the opportunity to come to the game for free. Tickets are limited to one free child general admission ticket per email address.  Register here to redeem a ticket.

The Sea Eagles wish to thank the Avalon Youth Hub, KALOF – Northern Beaches Council, and Headspace Brookvale for all their efforts in making this youth day on Sunday possible.

To help promote Sunday’s massive day at Lottoland, Sea Eagles player Dylan Walker was joined at the Avalon Youth Hub on Wednesday by URM Sea Eagles Ambassador and former player/coach Geoff Toovey to hand out tickets and join in some activities with the youth.

Justene Gordan, CEO of The Burdekin Association, said it was great to see the Sea Eagles continue to make return visits to the Avalon Youth Hub.

“For the young people of Pittwater, it is really exciting to have them engage with the players such as Dylan and to feel special,’’ she said.

“The URM Community Round is shaping up to be a really exciting day where a lot of young people are going to have the opportunity to participate in not only the activities but also in helping to run the day with the Sea Eagles staff.”
