Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Coach Trent Barrett has named his team to play the Sydney Roosters in the annual Community Cup on Saturday, February 24.

Barrett has fielded his strongest side available for the trial match at Central Coast Stadium in the team’s final hit out before their season opener against Newcastle on March 9.

New signing Lachlan Croker will play his first match for Manly in the number six jersey alongside half-back Daly Cherry-Evans.

The match also marks the first appearance of experienced second-rower Joel Thompson after joining the club from St George-Illawarra.

Winger Jorge Taufua makes a welcome return to the team in his first game back since suffering a season ending knee injury in round 13 last year.
