Here was our match report.

Manly winger Peta Hiku got the ball rolling with a try inside five minutes before crossing three minutes later to take his side out to an early 10-0 lead.

Promising young gun Clinton Gutherson pierced a whole in the brittle Tigers defence before drawing the fullback to send Kieran Foran under the posts for his first of the night.

Foran wouldn’t have to wait long for his second as he ran an unbendable line off a pass from hooker Matt Ballin to slam the ball down from close range.

The Sea Eagles took a commanding 22-point lead into the break and wasted little time extending the margin after half time as Gutherson crossed for his third try in as many NRL appearances.

Leading 28-0, the Sea Eagles took their foot off the throttle and were made to pay as the Tigers hit back with two tries to reduce the deficit to 20 points.

But the two tries kicked the Sea Eagles back into gear; scoring two tries in three minutes to put the exclamation mark on a convincing display.

Fullback Brett Stewart crossed for his 76th try at Brookvale Oval following a break from halfback Daly Cherry-Evans.

Two minutes later, the fullback played provider for his halfback as Cherry-Evans showed off his soccer skills to dive on the ball and score.
