Feleti Mateo and Josh Starling will undergo a final fitness test tomorrow to determine whether they will line-up for Manly Warringah Sea Eagles this Sunday.

Head Coach Geoff Toovey rated Mateo (ankle) a ‘50/50’ chance and Starling (knee) a ‘big chance’ during the week to return from injury for the round 9 clash against the Newcastle Knights at Brookvale Oval.

Captain Jamie Lyon returns from a groin injury. Centre partner Steve Matai will miss the game through suspension.

“We may have to reshuffle the backline to compensate,’’ Toovey said today.

The Sea Eagles will out to record their first back-to-back wins for the season after a strong victory over Melbourne Storm a fortnight ago.

“We know we can win and play some good football.  It is just producing that week in, week out,’’ Toovey said.

“Before the Melbourne game, we lost a couple of close matches. We were in the game there for most of the match but let it slip away. We just need to focus for 80 minutes.

“Last weekend’s representative matches might have thrown a bit of spanner in the works. It would have been nice to keep on that (winning) roll. But we are at home at Brookvale and we always have great success there.”

Gates open at 12.45pm on Sunday. The NRL match starts at 2pm.
