Sea Eagles winger David Williams has put the disappointment of last year’s grand final heartache behind him and is looking forward to Friday’s blockbuster against the Roosters.

The Sea Eagles and Roosters meet for the first time since last year’s grand final, and Williams admits there is extra incentive beating the Premiers almost six months after the grand final.

“I always look forward to the big games and the Roosters are playing just as good as they did last year,” He said.

Williams insists revenge for last year’s grand final defeat isn’t on his teammates' minds and said just beating the premiers at their home ground is enough motivation.

“It’s a new season, I think they’ve got some new players and so do we. We’re just looking forward to this year and try and stay at the top of the table,” Williams said.
