Large brothers lock in Manly future

The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles have secured the futures of two of their brightest young talents, with brothers Onitoni and Ashton Large signing two-year contract extensions to remain at the Club until the end of the 2029 season.

The talented teenagers are progressing through Manly’s pathways with a shared ambition to play NRL together in the famous maroon and white.

Onitoni, 19, made his NRL debut in Round 26 this season after an impressive campaign in the lower grades, which included 10 NSW Cup appearances.

Younger brother Ashton, 17, has emerged as one of the game’s most promising young hookers and will join Onitoni in Manly’s NRL Top 30 squad in 2027.

Both played key roles in Manly’s 2026 SG Ball Cup campaign, with Ashton’s performances recognised when he received the prestigious Jake Trbojevic Award as the Sea Eagles’ Junior Male Player of the Year.

Sea Eagles Head Coach Kieran Foran is delighted to have both youngsters commit their futures to the Club, believing they have the character and talent to forge long-term NRL careers.

“Both young men are fine people. They’re humble, they’re talented and they work extremely hard,” Foran said.

They are very well-liked by their teammates and very well respected within the Club.

“The boys have their sights set on one day playing alongside each other in first grade here at Manly, and that would be wonderful to see.”

The Large brothers will be among the first group of Sea Eagles players to return for pre-season training on 3 November.

Early Bird pricing for 2027 Membership expires October 31, 2026.
