Tom Trbojevic in Kangaroos squad for 2026 World Cup

Congratulations to Manly Warringah Sea Eagles fullback Tom Trbojevic on being selected in the Kangaroos squad for the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.

His selection marks a return to the World Cup arena nine years after making his Kangaroos debut in 2017.  He was again selected for the Kangaroos in 2018, playing at centre in Tests against New Zealand and Tonga in Auckland.

Tom’s most recent appearance in the green and gold came in 2024, when he scored two tries at centre in Australia’s Pacific Championship Final victory over Tonga at CommBank Stadium.

Trbojevic finished strongly for the Sea Eagles in 2026 producing impressive performances in the closing rounds, including wins over Newcastle and St George Illawarra before a one-point loss to the New Zealand Warriors.

The Kangaroos will open their 2026 World Cup campaign against the Kiwis in Sydney on Thursday 15 October.

Isaah Yeo has been named to captain a Kangaroos squad including six potential debutants (Bradman Best, Jack Bostock, Blayke Brailey, David Fifita, Sam Walker and Jacob Preston) for a home World Cup.
