Congratulations to Nathan Brown on being selected to play for the Australian PMs XIII next weekend.
Brown will pull on the green and gold to tackle Papua New Guinea PMs XIII on Saturday October 3 at Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
It continues Manly’s representation in this annual fixture dating back to 2006 when Brett Stewart and Matt Orford both pulled on the PMs XIII jersey.
This will be Brown's second appearance in the PMs XIII team having played against Fiji PMs XIII in 2019. Also in that team were Manly players Brad Parker, Reuben Garrick and Jake Trbojevic.
Last year Jason Saab was in the team that beat PNG PMs XIII 28-10, while Garrick, Luke Brooks, and Ethan Bullemor were in the side in 2024.
Jake Trbojevic has played for the PMs XIII on six occasions, making his first appearance in 2015.
Brown's final appearance for Manly came in Round 27 against the Warriors season after reaching the 200 NRL games milestone at 4 Pines Park against the Dragons in Round 26.
The Men’s Prime Minister’s XIII side will be coached by premiership and Origin winner Ben Te’o.
Australian Rugby League Commission Executive Chairman Peter V’landys AM congratulated all players on their selection in these special teams.
“The players selected are some of the best players in the game,” Mr V’landys said.
“Not only do they have the opportunity to represent their country, they will be ambassadors for Australia and for Rugby League. They will change lives for the better.
“On behalf of the Commission, I congratulate them on their selection.”
