A full house is expected for what should be a memorable afternoon with a record number of ‘old boys’ in attendance.

More than one hundred past players and officials will be at the game making this the biggest ever Golden Eagles gathering in the club’s 80th anniversary season.

The Sea Eagles will relish playing in front of a packed house at 4 Pines Park after a six-point loss on the Gold Coast, a match they trailed 28-14 at half time.

Sunday presents a big opportunity for this team. Two points outside of the eight, seven rounds to play, a bye next weekend.

A record number of past players will be at 4 Pines Park on Sunday for Golden Eagles Round.

The Sharks have gone on a run over the past couple of months winning seven of their past eight games including a 28-22 victory over Manly at Cronulla in Round 13.

As a result, they have climbed to fourth on the ladder on 28 points, six ahead of Manly, but without a bye in hand.

The Sharks defeated the Knights 20-18 last Friday despite being outscored four tries to three.

In team news, Ben Trbojevic is back on deck (concussion protocol) in the second row pushing Ethan Bullemor to the bench. Lehi Hopoate replaces Tom Trbojevic (hamstring) at fullback with Tolu Koula shifting from centre to wing and Josh Feledy elevated from the interchange to the centres.

The Sharks have a few players returning to their side including centre Jesse Ramien (illness), and bench forwards Siosifa Talakai (elbow) and Jesse Colquhoun (knee).

The winning team will take possession of the Steve Rogers Memorial Trophy.
