The 1978 Grand Final remains one of the most memorable in Manly's history, with the Sea Eagles defeating Cronulla-Sutherland 16-0 in the replay after the teams were locked 11-all just three days earlier.
It was only the second Grand Final replay in premiership history, following the drawn decider between St George and Parramatta just 12 months earlier.
The victory secured Manly's fourth premiership and capped a dominant decade that also delivered titles in 1972, 1973 and 1976.
Inspired by a brilliant performance from fullback Graham Eadie, who scored a try, kicked three goals and a field goal, Manly raced to a 15-0 halftime lead and never looked back.
Centre Russel Gartner crossed for two tries, while hooker Max Krilich led from the front in a commanding team effort under coach Frank Stanton.
Hard-as-nails forward Terry Randall epitomised the side's courage, playing the replay after receiving multiple pain-killing injections.
The Grand Final replay was the sixth meeting between these fierce rivals that season, with the Sea Eagles having the final say to complete a famous premiership triumph.
