Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are delighted to confirm a two-year contract extension for rising star and local junior, Joey Walsh.
The new deal will keep Walsh in Manly colours until at least the end of the 2029 season.
A 20-year-old halfback, Walsh is in his second season in the Sea Eagles’ top 30 roster after making his NRL debut in the final round of the 2025 season.
Joey has performed exceptionally well in his two starting appearances this season, a narrow loss to the Panthers in Round 9 followed by an emphatic victory over the Broncos in Round 10.
Northern Beaches born and bred, Walsh played his junior footy with the North Curl Curl Knights and the Narraweena Hawks and went to school just across the road from 4 Pines Park at St Augustine’s College.
Joey says he’s thrilled to extend his time at the Club.
“Playing for Manly is what I dreamed of as a kid and I have absolutely loved the past couple of years,” Walsh said.
“I have learned so much in a short space of time, and I look forward to continuing to grow as player in the years ahead.
I’m thankful for the opportunity that I have been given here at Manly, and I’m really excited about our future as a club.
