Junior Reps: Round 7 Preview

Manly's junior representative teams are in action this Saturday with our men's teams up against the Balmain Tigers and our women's teams playing the Parramatta Eels.

Lisa Fiaola Cup (U/17 Women’s)

The team will be eager to turn things around after another defeat but face a tough challenge against the third-placed Parramatta Eels.

Coach Luke Phillips continues his search for the right combination, making several changes to the lineup once again.

Ruby King shifts back into the halfback role and has been given the captaincy, while Jasmin Berry lines up at fullback. Ella Parker returns in the centres, with Ella Thoroughgood moving out to the wing, and creative dummy-half Indi Curr is set to test herself at five-eighth.

There are also changes to the forward rotation, with Mokoia Birtles and Faaimata Hiliau earning promotions to the starting side, while Layla Campbell and Leyton Nonoa will be hoping to provide impact off the interchange.

After a string of impressive performances, Kalani Quadros takes on a new challenge in the second row.

Manly will be determined to secure their first win of the 2026 Lisa Fiaola Cup campaign.

Tarsha Gale Cup (U/19 Women’s)

The Sea Eagles will be hoping to turn things around after another loss in Round 6, as they still search for their first win of the season.

But it won't be easy. The Parramatta Eels are coming off a dominant 62-0 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs last week.

The back five remain the same for the Sea Eagles, as do the halves pairing, while there are a few changes to the forwards and bench.

Harold Matthews Cup (U/17 Men’s)

Manly’s Harold Matthews Cup side responded strongly following their Round 5 defeat, recording an impressive win over the Western Suburbs Magpies at Lidcombe Oval last Saturday.

The Sea Eagles now sit seventh on the ladder and will be looking to build momentum as they take on the Balmain Tigers, who are positioned near the bottom.

Coach Tom Giles has stuck solid with the same lineup that delivered last week’s result, showing confidence in his side as they look to string together back-to-back wins.

With finals just three weeks away, Manly will be eager to keep their momentum rolling at a crucial stage of the season.

SG Ball Cup (U/19 Men’s)

After receiving their first loss of the season against the Rabbitohs, the Sea Eagles bounced back last week with a strong 44-26 win over the Magpies.

The Balmain Tigers are coming off a 24-16 loss to the New Zealand Warriors at Leichhardt Oval. They now come up against a Sea Eagles side looking to make it five wins from seven games.

In team news the backline is unchanged while there are a couple of changes in the forwards.

Corey Kaltenbacher will start at prop while Sifa Oldfield and Beau McKee have both made way for Lewis Jones and Jackson Rodwell in the back row.

If you aren’t able to make any of the games this weekend, you can watch it all on BarTV Sports with a valid subscription.
