As we approach the end of the year and I prepare to conclude my time as CEO of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, I want to take this opportunity to wish all Manly Members and fans a very Merry Christmas and a safe, happy festive season.
Saying goodbye is never easy, particularly to a Club and community that mean so much to me. However, I leave with complete confidence and optimism, knowing the Sea Eagles are in outstanding shape and that a very good man in Jason King will soon take the reins as CEO.
Jason’s leadership, integrity, and deep understanding of the Club will serve Manly exceptionally well in the years ahead.
The playing squad and coaching staff have thrown themselves into pre-season training with the enthusiasm and commitment you would expect at this time of year.
There is a genuine sense of energy building, and I truly believe our 80th anniversary season in 2026 will be one to remember.
While the 2025 season did not deliver the finals appearance that we had hoped for, the Club achieved some outstanding results off the field that we should all be immensely proud of.
Breaking the 20,000 Membership mark for the first time in our history - with eight home games sold out during the season and 16 sell-outs from our last 22 games at 4 Pines Park - was the result of enormous effort across the Club.
That growth has gone hand in hand with a significant increase in our digital footprint, continued progress in junior league participation, and consistently positive community engagement. We were also proud to be one of the first clubs to showcase our game in Las Vegas, another milestone moment for the Sea Eagles.
Over the past three years I have thoroughly enjoyed my time as CEO. Yes, there were challenges along the way, but the privilege of working alongside wonderful people, sharing unforgettable moments, and watching 4 Pines Park come alive week after week is something I will always cherish.
There is so much for Members and fans to look forward to. The foundations are strong, the pathway is clear, and belief within the Club is real. I have no doubt the future holds great success for the mighty Sea Eagles.
Thank you for your passion, loyalty, and unwavering support. I wish the Club, and all Manly Members and fans, every ounce of success in the years ahead.
Warm regards,
Tony Mestrov
