Sea Eagles confirm leadership group for 2026

A seven-player leadership group is driving the standards at Manly Warringah Sea Eagles as the team continues to prepare for the 2026 NRL season.

Head Coach Anthony Seibold has added a wealth of experience to the leadership team after recently appointing Tom Trbojevic as Captain.

Joining Tom in the team of mentors will be older brother Jake Trbojevic and edge-forward Haumole Olakau’atu, who both retain their vice-captaincy roles.

Added to the leadership group in 2026 are Luke Brooks, Reuben Garrick, Siua Taukei’aho and key recruit, Jamal Fogarty.

The seven leaders, who between them have played 1240 NRL games, have been chosen not just because of their length of time in the game.

“They all have a wealth of experience, but it’s more than that,” said Seibold.

They all live by their actions, day in day out.

“Certain positions, like Turbo at fullback and Jamal at halfback, need to lead through their voice as well and they both have the capacity and ability to do that.”

The leadership team will be well supported by the club’s new Coaching Development & Leadership Manager, Aaron Greaves.

“Aaron joined us from Carlton and previously worked at Port Adelaide, and he’s had a lot of success in driving and improving the leaders at those AFL clubs,” said Seibold.

“We’re fortunate to have Aaron on board, someone with so much experience in the leadership space.

“Each of our leaders will be responsible for a specific part of our program, and that will bring greater accountability to the group.”

The Sea Eagles squad is four weeks into pre-season training. Players will break for Christmas on 20th December.
