Vale Peter Burke

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Manly halfback, Peter Burke, who has passed away, aged 92.

Sea Eagle #104, Burke played 105 games for Manly Warringah Sea Eagles between 1955 and 1963.

Peter played four games for New South Wales across two seasons and also toured with the 1959-60 Kangaroos after playing in Grand Final losses to St George in 1957 and 1959.

A Manly Life Member, Peter became Manly's second Kangaroos Tourist following on from Roy Bull.

He is survived by wife Sue, and children Brad, Matthew, Daniel, Patrick and Jenny.

"He was a proud Manly boy and loved the Club,” said grandson Tom.

The Sea Eagles extend their sincere condolences to Peter’s family and friends.
