Team List: NRL Round 27 vs Warriors

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold has named a 22-man squad for Friday night’s Round 27 match against the Warriors at 4 Pines Park, Brookvale.

There are a couple of changes to the team that defeated the Dragons last weekend, including a local junior who will make his NRL debut.

Nineteen-year-old halfback Joey Walsh will make his first NRL appearance off the bench and is set to become Sea Eagles Player #663.

Walsh attended school just across the road from 4 Pines Park at St Augustine’s College and played his junior football with the North Curl Curl Knights and the Narraweena Hawks.

Walsh has impressed in his first season at Manly, playing a couple of games in the Jersey Flegg Cup and scoring seven tries in 15 appearances in the NSW Cup.

The other change sees Clayton Faulalo replace Tolu Koula in the centres.  Koula suffered a knee injury (MCL) against the Dragons and will be out of action for six to eight weeks.

Toafofoa Sipley is challenging a grade 2 dangerous contact charge in a bid make his 100th NRL appearance, which would also be his final game for the club.

The 30-year-old prop, who is heading to the UK Super League next season, will appear before the NRL judiciary on Tuesday night.

Daly Cherry-Evans will play his final home game before departing the Sea Eagles at season’s end.

DCE will make his 352nd NRL appearance requiring two tries to become just the fifth player to score 100 or more tries for the club.
