Manly Warringah Sea Eagles players Jake, Tom and Ben Trbojevic have returned to their former primary school ahead of Saturday’s crunch match against the Roosters.
The Trbojevic trio paid a visit to Mona Vale Public to meet current staff and students as the school prepares to celebrate Public Education Week.
The boys were happy to share a laugh as they recounted their days at their former school, before being swamped by hundreds of students keen to meet their local heroes.
Tom it seems was easily the most studious of the four Trbojevic brothers, gaining an ATAR of 94.3 in his HSC and achieving the top band for 2 and 3-unit maths.
Not one to spruik his own achievements, Turbo is proud of his family’s community connections.
“Our time at both Mona Vale Public School and Pittwater High School is fondly remembered by my brothers and I,” Tom said.
“My dad built the goal posts here at Mona Vale and my mum worked at Narrabeen Sports High School, so our connections to NSW public schools are very much a family affair.
Jake, Ben and I have been fortunate to enjoy NRL careers, but we also recognise there’s a life after footy.

“Our other brother Luke who went to school with us is already a successful electrician in his own right, and we all know that our education will give us a leg up in life well beyond our football careers.”
Public Education Week will run from 4-8 August and encourages families and local communities to celebrate and recognise the achievements of public schools, staff, and students from across NSW.
