Coach's Comment
The Harold Matthews squad is carrying on from a successful season in 2024 with a squad full of local juniors. In fact, 18 of the 28-strong squad have come from a range of local clubs which is fantastic.
The squad has several experienced players backing up from last season as well as young talent playing up an age. For all of them it is a tremendous opportunity to play in the state’s best competition for their age group.
The pre-season has been a gruelling, intense and overall, a successful block of training and learning. We expect this experience will hold the players in good stead for a successful season.
Sifa Oldfield, a proud Narraweena Hawks junior, will lead the squad as captain. He has shown fantastic leadership this pre-season and is a player to watch in 2025. - Jordan Meredith

Congratulations to all players who have gained selection in this year’s SG Ball squad. We’re very much looking forward to kicking off the season against the Warriors this weekend at 4 Pines Park.
The squad began training at the start of November last year and has played three trials in the lead-up to Sunday’s season-opener.
There is an abundance of talent in the squad and of particular interest to the Manly faithful are players such as Onitoni Large (five-eighth), Zaidas Muagututia (hooker), Simione Laiafi (prop), and Joey Walsh (halfback). All four have been involved in NRL pre-season training and are now looking forward to fulfilling their roles in our SG Ball team. - Wayne Lambkin
