The Charles Sturt University in Bathurst have presented awards to Sea Eagles players Lachlan Croker and Jake Trbojevic in recognition of their academic and sporting achievements this year.
Croker, who studied a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree and a Masters of Teaching (Secondary) degree, received the prestigious Vice Chancellors Sporting and Academic Excellence Award, recognising the dedication, commitment and ability to achieve excellence in both the sporting arena and academic pursuits.
Trbojevic, who studied a Bachelor of Educational Studies degree, received a Sporting Blue award after captaining NSW to an Origin series victory.
This is the pinnacle of sporting achievement at Charles Sturt University, awarded to student athletes who have achieved the highest level of sporting excellence in their chosen sport, and who are a person of outstanding character and values.
The University Sports and Blues Awards are awarded for outstanding achievement in university sport – an acknowledgement and celebration that occurs at universities across Australia, United Kingdom, Canada and New Zealand.
The Charles Sturt University wide Sporting and Blues Awards formally recognise the sporting achievements of students across all campuses and online. Through this awards program, the university community, are able to celebrate the contributions, achievements and sporting excellence of our student athletes, sporting clubs, teams and programs.
