Origin dinner raises vital funds for Sea Eagles Foundation

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles raised some vital funds for the next generation of exciting youngsters coming through the Club's Pathways program at a gala State of Origin dinner on Wednesday night.

Held at the magnificent Miramare Gardens in Terry Hills, the inaugural State of Origin function was in aid of the Sea Eagles Foundation, which directly supports the long-term success of the Sea Eagles through investments in junior development programs.

The programs aim to strengthen pathways for junior development players to transition into NRL and/or NRLW, as well as enhance their development as respected community members off the field.

The dinner highlighted young rising stars Lacey Cross and Cooper Elkin and their journey in the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Pathways program.

Sea Eagles Foundation: Pathways

Former 2008 Premiership winning captain and current U16 development Coach, Matt Orford, Manly vice-captain Jake Trbojevic, and Sea Eagles General Manager of Football, John Bonasera, spoke about the importance of the Pathways program and the financial support it takes in developing young male and female players.

Special guests in attendance included the ‘Godfather of Manly’, Ken Arthurson, as well as local politicians and sponsors.

Sea Eagles Gold and Premium Members also had the opportunity to attend the night.

Sea Eagles Coach Anthony Seibold and Assistant Coaches Shane Flanagan and Jim Dymock gave an insight into their own State of Origin experiences as well as an update on Manly's season.

Guests were then able to watch the Origin game live on two big screens in between enjoying a superb dinner and refreshments.
